Do the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics at the sixth grade level seem overwhelming? Do you have any idea of how to begin to implement these standards in your own practice? This course is designed for teachers who want to understand and implement the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics, including both content and practice standards, at the sixth grade level. By the end of this course, teachers will fully understand the scope of the Common Core Standards and have an in-depth knowledge of the specific standards as well as strategies and activities specific to supporting the standards at the sixth grade level. Teachers will also gain valuable recommended resources that support implementation of the standards in the classroom. Teachers will be prepared to immediately begin effectively teaching the standards and preparing students for assessment.
