PDI Courses for Paraprofessionals


The Professional Development Institute is pleased to announce two courses specifically created for paraprofessionals. We understand how important it is for paraprofessionals to understand the social and emotional needs of the students they serve. An Introduction to Social-Emotional Learning for Paraprofessionals will help paraprofessionals learn about the guiding principles of social and emotional learning, as well as its five key competencies. Additionally, paraprofessionals will learn the steps involved in addressing social skills deficits, gaining basic tools for helping students cope with stress and anxiety, and understanding the role of equity in social-emotional learning. Another issue paraprofessionals often see with their students relates to executive function skills. So, PDI is releasing An Introduction to Improving Students’ Executive Function Skills for Paraprofessionals. This course will help paraprofessionals understand the core executive functions and take a deep dive into strategic focused interventions that help students who have these executive deficits. **Note: These courses do not qualify for UCSD graduate-level credit.

PDI wants to help as many paraprofessionals as possible, and so we are offering these one-unit courses at an introductory price of only $25 each. Upon completion of either course, paraprofessional will receive a Certificate of Completion from PDI. **Note: This course does not qualify for any special discount announced at our website.
